A few things worth checking first — they resolve the most common issues and speed up every reply.

Downie Downie

Use the in-app support dialog to report issues — it attaches useful diagnostic info automatically. Before writing, try User-Guided Extraction for sites that won't download, and check whether any advanced settings have been modified. The Downie help book covers most scenarios.

Permute Permute

Use the in-app support dialog to report issues. If conversion is failing, check whether the preset was modified to include options that displayed warnings — reverting those changes resolves most conversion problems.

License License Codes

If you're getting a "license used too many times" error, deactivate the license on your previous installation first: use the deactivation command in the app's menu bar menu (the bold item with the app's name). For apps not in the Dock, look for it in the gear or more (•••) menu in the menu bar popover.
